Jordy Construction was referred to the owners of The Local(ish) Market by two independent sources—the design firm and a previous retail client—based on successfully completed projects with both parties, and was awarded this 2,250 SF retail buildout in a new shell space at the south end of the Union Station railroad platform based on these referrals and a brief interview with the client. The project was a successful buildout of a European-inspired train station interior design with open ceilings, clean lines, stained and polished concrete floors, and faux oxidized copper shelving. The end result provided a beautiful space for travelers and locals alike to purchase locally sourced snack and meal items while traveling through Union Station or working in the downtown area.
