Location Architect McMahon & Company, a long-time Boulder business, contracted with Jordy Construction to build-out their new 9,000 square foot office in a shell space on the top floor of the 1400 Wewatta Street commercial office building in Lower Downtown Denver. The build-out was completed in less than 8 weeks. Guests of McMahon’s office are greeted by the contrasting dark, rich walnut reception desk and back wall and light stone countertops and floor tile. A mixture of curves and sleek lines intertwine throughout the office with accents of radiused aluminum storefront and ceilings that flow through the dramatic full glass office fronts to accentuate the light and airy feeling of the space and afford amazing views of the mountains and LODO area. Acquilano and Jordy Construction were able to create a space that allowed the client’s hobbies and interests to be a focal point via the use of acrylic wall panels and accent lighting that prominently display photographs from the client’s adventures around the world. Creature comforts such as a plush lounge, break area, and billiard room that houses a custom snooker table allow McMahon & Company to keep both clients and employees happily entertained.
