Location Architect Tim Doherty, owner of the successful Syrup restaurant in Cherry Creek, decided to open his second location in a vacant tenant space that was previously occupied by another breakfast and lunch restaurant in Denver Place, but the space required a complete overhaul of the existing finishes and updates to the kitchen. Upon contract award, Jordy’s project team took charge of the permit process to ensure that all required documentation from the design team and restaurant owner were provided, as well as ensured that the proper MEP drawings were created and submitted to the various authorities having jurisdiction. The 3,900 square foot remodel included all new flooring, wall finishes, lighting, ceiling upgrades, and a custom millwork island and bar. The demising walls that separate the space from the building’s internal mall area were opened up to add more windows, as well. Jordy also assisted Syrup in coordinating the installation of a new sound system and all new kitchen equipment. The finished project was dramatic change to the space that will serve both Syrup and the building very well for years to come.
