Jordy Construction assisted with pre-construction services and negotiated the buildout of Sloan’s Lake Tap & Burger located near the South-East corner of Sloan’s Lake. Jordy worked with the clients and design team to ensure that the project received quality finishes and MEP systems while maintaining the clients budget and expectations. Sloan’s Lake Tap and Burger was the first restaurant open within the new Alexan apartment complex, providing the area with lively entertainment and top quality meals.

A few of the restaurants features are a wraparound island bar with oak countertops and board form concrete panels on the bar die wall, exposed overhead beer lines running through the high open ceilings and flow down into the Perlick beer tower at the center of the back bar, and oak paneling and faux windows adorning the interior walls. To utilize as much space as possible, a mezzanine was added to the space which provides access to the mechanical systems and an office that looks over the restaurant.

One unique feature of the kitchen is the Captive Air CORE hood system that is self-cleaning and designed to suppress fires with water rather than the conventional Ansul systems. Sloan’s Tap and Burger was the first in Denver to utilize this new system and Jordy Construction worked with the engineers and city building officials to ensure the system was accepted by the building codes.
